10. Epilogue
Catherine was standing in front of me. "Thankyou," she said to me. "I can see that the troubles Mylk faced are now over."
That evening, I told Catherine and Atrus about my adventures in the beautiful ages of Mylk. We all agreed that what the D'ni knew about linking was just a minuscule portion of the huge amount of knowledge yet to be achieved.
Who would have thought that linking Cartons could exist?
*Author's notes: This story takes place during... I dunno yet. You'll have to wait until Myst II: Exile or Mudpie is released. Then I'll be able to tell you.
By the way, if you take the pink page to Francis the Chicken, you take her place. Francis says "Broaark Bockaw!", which means, roughly translated, "Ha, Ha! You fool 'Rhubarbed' this! I'll peck you goodbye!" She then pecks at your Carton, destroying the link.
If you take the yellow page to Farmer Ben, he says, "In my barn, hey lout gimmeeva.. Yeehah!" Roughly translated into ordinary English, this means "Hey you stupid mockery, I'm in my barn.. Yahoo!" He then spits tobacco juice, making "Cachoke" sounds, and disabling the link. This, as you might remember from the Swiss Age, is the fulfillment of his to-do list.
I have no idea what 'gimmmeeva' is, or whether I have spelt or heard it correctly, but I believe I have translated the basic gist of his speech.
