Mystical Shells
Welcome to my Myst/Riven/D'ni-related fan page. Rather than create a big boring site, just like so many other's out there, I set out to do something different... something no one else has ever done.
The D'ni Legacy Memoirs
I'll assume that you know something about Myst and Riven. Well, at the end of Riven (without giving you any spoilers), there's a few issues that are never really cleared up, and who knows if they ever will be?
Meet The D'ni Legacy, a brilliant HTML implementation of an 'unofficial' Riven Sequel from VentureQuest Intertainment. In The D'ni Legacy, you must solve mysteries of intrigue and dilemma. It's filled with original puzzles to solve.
But what if you've already completed The D'ni Legacy? Or if you're
having trouble with something? Now meet The D'ni Legacy Memoirs,
a complete journal-style walkthrough of The D'ni Legacy, by me. I've
written it in cooperation with Venture Quest Intertainment. Remember:
It's an absolute and complete spoiler on The D'ni Legacy. That said, here
comes the links. According to Venture Quest Intertainment,
I am the first to create an online journal/review/overview.
VentureQuest Intertainment | Download The D'ni Legacy from the Games section of this site. Do this before even attempting to read my memoirs. |
The D'ni Legacy Memoirs | If you've decided you want to be spoiled, or just want an interesting read [after you've finished The D'ni Legacy], 'clik' on the link. Alternatively, you can download the whole thing here. |
The Mylk Journals
It's here! A complete and absolute spoiler of Mylk! Like the D'ni Legacy Memoirs above, don't just read it without some thought!
I have attempted to uncover every secret, every clue, and every twist and turn in the ages of Mylk! This is your ultimate guide to Mylk if you're having trouble.
By the way, Mylk, according to it's creator Bart Gold, is not a parody,
it's a 'Homage'!
Download Mylk from Worldvillage | Download the Mac or Windows version of Mylk from here. Do this before even attempting to read my journals. |
The Mylk Journals | If you've decided you want to be spoiled, or just want an interesting read [after you've finished The D'ni Legacy], 'clik' on the link. Alternatively, you can download the whole thing here. |
Myst: The Book of Jaguar
Myst Jaguar is the Atari version of Myst. In this version there is a cute, hidden easter egg. I highly recommend that you experience it for yourself, whether or not you have the Atari version, with the help of Myst: The Book of Jaguar. Alternatively, you can download the whole thing here.
The Pyst Experience
Pyst is a CD-ROM parody of Myst, but strangely enough, there have been
no journal-style walkthroughs of it. Here comes the first...
and the best! It is not finished yet! Please be patient,
since it could take me months.
Purchase Pyst from Amazon.com | You can purchase Pyst from Amazon.com, if you like. If you'd first like to see if Pyst is for you, check out the humour section of Myst and Riven Illustrated. |
The Pyst Experience [incomplete] | If you've decided you want to be spoiled, or just want an interesting read [after you've finished Pyst], 'clik' on the link. Alternatively, you can download the whole thing here. |
The Crypt
The Crypt is a top secret DanUltra International location. To access it, you must solve a sequence of puzzles. At the end... you'll find prizes... Go there now!
If you make it to the end, I'd appreciate it if you emailed me with a prize attached as proof. Everyone who completes The Crypt and emails me with a prize will be put in The Crypt Hall of Fame. If you don't want your email address listed in The Hall of Fame, please let me know.
Other stuff
I've got a few ideas up my sleeve for future projects. One day they might eventuate.
Related Links
Here's some of the best links from the D'ni Universe on the Web:
There are no junky sites here... only what I consider to be the best. All of these sites are a 'must see'. I am currently in the process of going through all the links at Myst: Exhaustive Links. If I consider a site to be a tad boring or useless, it won't make this page.
P.S. 'Mystical Shells' is a reference to something. If you think you have correctly identified the reference, email me for a prize, and you'll have your name published on this very page!
